The College Colors Challenge kicked off today and the Ā鶹Ņ¹ŹŠ is encouraging Raginā€™ Cajuns fans to participate.

ā€œThe College Colors Challenge is a national social media contest,ā€ said Amy Windsor, Ā鶹Ņ¹ŹŠ social media strategist. ā€œIt raises our previous Wear Red contest to a new level.ā€

ā€œBy submitting a photo or video on social media, our Raginā€™ Cajuns fans can flaunt their red and white school spirit from anywhere, while vying for a trip to college footballā€™s title game and other prizes.ā€

The grand-prize winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the College Football Playoff National Championship game in Glendale, Ariz. The trip includes round-trip airfare for two, a three-night hotel stay, a $500 gift card, and two tickets with ground transportation to the game.

Raginā€™ Cajuns fans can download the College Colors app (App Store or Google Play) and visit for details.

A set of social media challenges ending Sept. 3 has three categories. Fans should submit photos or videos using the #CollegeColors hash-tag, along with #SQUADPIC (large group), #FAMPHOTO (family), or #SELFIE (individual).

According to Windsor, fans can post anything from an epic trick-shot video to an awkward family photo to their school spirit on display at the officeā€”all while wearing red. Schools and businesses can participate through the #SQUADPIC category.

She also wants Raginā€™ Cajuns fans to add the #GeauxCajuns hash-tag to their College Colors entries. Top #GeauxCajuns entries will be featured on the scoreboard during the first home football game on Sept. 12.

ā€œBased on what weā€™ve seen in the past, we know our fans will be creative,ā€ she said.

Winners for the first set of College Colors challenges will be announced at the on College Colors Day, Sept. 4.

Each month during the college football season, new challenges will be issued for chances to win prizes, including two more opportunities to win pairs of tickets to the national championship game.

In October, the Ā鶹Ņ¹ŹŠ Alumni Association will hold its annual ā€œPaint the Town Redā€ contest, in which local business and schools compete as part of Homecoming.
