Program Requirements

To be admitted to the M.S. in Systems Technology program online, you must have:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, engineering technology, engineering, or a closely aligned program from an accredited institution.*
An overall cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher; or a cumulative GPA calculated over the last 60 hours of your undergraduate curriculum of 3.0 or higher, which is calculated using courses of engineering and sciences.

*Applicants with other degrees may be considered; however, leveling courses will be required for those students to ensure an acceptable knowledge base. Required leveling courses will be determined by the departmental Graduate Affairs Committee on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the Department Head of Engineering Technology. For information about leveling courses, contact the department.

To complete your application, you'll need to provide the following. With the exception of transcripts, all documents can be submitted through the online application portal.

Students in the M.S. in Systems Technology program must complete 30 credit hours, including 15 hours of required core courses. You may choose your core courses from:

STEC 505 - Lean Manufacturing Credit Hours: 3

STEC 510 - Risk Assessment and Safety Management Systems Credit Hours: 3
STEC 520 - Life Cycle Analysis Credit Hours: 3
STEC 522 - Process Control Systems Technology Credit Hours: 3
STEC 525 - Automated Systems Management Credit Hours: 3
STEC 531 - Materials Technology and Applications Credit Hours: 3

Students must also complete a thesis or project.

Online graduate students have the benefit of flat-rate, $480-per-credit tuition.

Because courses in this program will only be available online, the program may not be available to all applicants. The �鶹ҹ�� and its online programs must be in compliance in every state where a student is located. International students also may not be eligible. According to U.S. immigration regulations, F-1 students cannot pursue online degrees; international students in other visa categories (i.e., H-4, L2) are exempt from this restriction.
