First-generation students are defined as students whose parents either did not pursue or did not complete a bachelor's degree (4-year) program.

As a part of the First2Geaux campaign, we encourage all students, faculty and staff to complete a survey regarding First Generation status.

Monday, November 4

Lanyard Giveaway: Pick up a VIP First to Geaux (F2G) lanyard to participate in all first-generation events throughout the week. A lanyard is required to take part in Homecoming priority seating opportunities.
8 a.m. - 12 p.m. | SGA office in the Student Union (Rm 159) and DeClouet Hall room 106 (off the lobby)

Ragin’ On the Runway Fashion Show: Come watch the student fashion show at Blackham Coliseum. There will be priority seating for everyone with the F2G lanyard. Seating is first come, first served.
7-9 p.m. | Blackham Coliseum

Wednesday, November 6

Cajun’s Got Talent: Prepare to be amazed by what our students can do at Cajun’s Got Talent! There will be priority seating for everyone with the F2G lanyard. Seating is first come, first served.
6-8 p.m. | Blackham Coliseum

Thursday, November 7 

Suicide Prevention Training: Jacob Crouch Suicide Prevention Services (JCSPS), a Branch of The Family Tree, offers comprehensive suicide awareness and prevention educational programs suitable for individuals of all backgrounds. The Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) training equips students with essential skills to identify and respond to signs of potential at-risk behavior, whether in themselves or others.
2-4 p.m. | Student Union, Pelican Room A & B

Yell Like Hell: Show your Ragin’ Cajun spirit at the Yell Like Hell pep rally.  F2G students with lanyard meet at our First2Gleaux Glitter Station to participate in Yell Like Hell as a group.
7-9 p.m. | Blackham Coliseum

Friday, November 8

First 2 Geaux Tailgate: Stop by our F2G Tailgate pop-up for First-Generation College Celebration Day and share your pride in being the #First2Geaux in your family! We’ll have t-shirts, foam fingers for the game, and other F2G giveaways for first-generation students, as well as information about campus and local resources, food, drinks, and tailgate games.
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. | In front of Library

Saturday, November 9

*Homecoming Game: Â鶹ҹÊÐ vs. Arkansas State. Bring foam fingers from tailgate to be recognized at game
Kickoff 4 p.m. | Cajun Field
