• How do I apply for scholarships?

  Prospective students will automatically be considered for our academic and supplemental scholarships when you apply for admission to the University.

  Application processes for current students vary. Visit our Current Students page for more information.

  If my ACT/SAT scores improve, can I qualify for a larger scholarship?

  Yes! If you’ve already been awarded a scholarship and your score improves enough to qualify you for a larger one, your award will be increased. Scores must be earned May 31 of your graduating year and must be sent to the �鶹ҹ��.

  To do so, log into your ACT/SAT account and request that your scores be sent to the �鶹ҹ��.

  What is the deadline to qualify for scholarships?

  We will accept all SAT, ACT, and ACT Superscores earned by May 31 of your graduating year.

  Does the University accept ACT Superscores when determining scholarship eligibility?

  Yes, the Scholarship Office will use your ACT Superscore to determine scholarship eligibility. Be sure to submit all of your ACT scores to the �鶹ҹ�� (school code 1612).

  How do I submit my ACT/SAT scores to �鶹ҹ��?

  ACT Scores – Log into your and request that your scores be sent to �鶹ҹ�� (school code 1612).

  SAT Scores – Log into your and request that your scores be sent to �鶹ҹ�� (school code 6672).

  Can I use my weighted GPA to qualify for scholarships?

  The University only considers non-weighted GPAs (those on a 4.0 scale) to determine scholarship eligibility.

  If I didn’t qualify for a scholarship when I was first admitted, are there other scholarships I can apply for once I’m a student here?

  Yes! Visit our Current Students and Additional Scholarship Opportunities pages for details about other scholarships.

• What are the rules for maintaining my scholarship?

  Requirements for maintaining scholarships vary, depending on the scholarship. Review your original scholarship offer letter for details. Requirements may also be listed in ULink. On the “Financial Aid & Scholarships” card, click “My financial aid and scholarship awards.” 

  What happens if I don’t meet the requirements to maintain eligibility for my scholarship?

  If you do not meet the requirements to maintain your scholarship, you have the right to submit a scholarship appeal only once. Students who lose their scholarships will be notified with instructions on how to submit an appeal via U.S. mail.

  If I lose my scholarship, can I appeal the loss?

  Yes, you have the right to submit a scholarship appeal only once. Students who lose their scholarships will be notified with instructions on how to submit an appeal via U.S. mail.

• When will I receive my scholarship offer?

  Scholarship offer letters for incoming students are sent via U.S. mail starting around early November. You must be admitted to the University before your scholarship award letter can be mailed to you.

  If I received a scholarship from a source outside of the University, how do I apply it to my account?

  Congratulations! Please contact the Scholarship Office for processing.

  If I received a housing scholarship, do I still have to submit a housing application?

  Yes. Any student who would like to live on campus, including those receiving housing scholarships, must submit a housing application.

  When will my marching band scholarship apply to my account?

  Pride of Acadiana Marching Band scholarships are typically applied to your account after band camp in August.

  Who should student athletes contact with questions about athletic scholarship?

  Athletic scholarships are handled through Ragin’ Cajun Athletics. Please contact your coach for assistance.

  Is Louisiana TOPS included in my scholarship offer?

  Louisiana TOPS is not included in your �鶹ҹ�� scholarship offer. If you qualify for a �鶹ҹ�� academic scholarship though, you likely qualify for Louisiana TOPS on top of your scholarship.
