Career Fairs

We offer a variety of opportunities to network with employers.

Held each fall and spring semester, our Career Fairs are the perfect opportunity for you to interact with local, state, national, and international employers and further your professional journey!

You have the opportunity to personally meet recruiters from diverse companies and network with returning alumni. Companies also have the option of interviewing applicants after the event.

You should dress professionally and have several copies of your resume available to submit to prospective employers.

Tips for Career Fair Preparation

  1. Research the list of participating employers through Handshake
  2. Get your resume reviewed by emailing resume@louisiana.edu
  3. Prepare your personal elevator pitch (30 second introduction)
  4. Make sure you have a business casual or professional outfit
  5. Bring copies of your resume and upload it into your Handshake account
  6. Keep a list of businesses you interact with to send out follow up with thank-you notes
